What is Studio CrazyNoodles?

Studio CrazyNoodles is a Japanese contemporary art platform founded by Hiro Ando in Tokyo in 2005.
More than a traditional artist studio, Studio CrazyNoodles was conceived as a long-term creative structure bringing together artists, sculptors, painters and visual creators connected to the evolution of Japanese Neo-Pop art.
The platform explores the relationship between Japanese cultural heritage, contemporary visual culture, manga aesthetics, urban influence and futuristic artistic expression.
Under the artistic direction initiated by Hiro Ando, Studio CrazyNoodles progressively developed a distinctive visual language where polished sculptures, colorful characters, pop iconography and contemporary Japanese narratives coexist.
The studio became known for introducing recurring artistic universes such as Samuraicat, Warriorcat, RoboCat, UrbanCat and other Neo-Pop reinterpretations of Japanese symbols.
Unlike a traditional collective, Studio CrazyNoodles functions as an evolving artistic ecosystem where each artist preserves an individual identity while contributing to a broader contemporary Japanese visual movement.
The platform also contributed to the international visibility of Japanese Neo-Pop through exhibitions, collaborations, contemporary sculpture projects and international gallery partnerships.
Today, Studio CrazyNoodles is increasingly associated with the emergence of a new generation of Japanese contemporary artists combining pop culture, sculpture, manga influence and contemporary aesthetics.
